Founder of Neurobiome™ & Neurobiome Method™

Health Consultant/ Workshop Facilitator/ Presenter

Neurobiome™ Consulting has been developed by Dr. Meredith O’Loughlan, drawing on her studies in Western medical science, Functional Medicine & Chinese Medicine, her laboratory research, 20 years of clinical practice and 25 years of living drug-free with Multiple Sclerosis.

The Neurobiome Method™ was developed over many years in response to Dr. Meredith’s search for answers to her significant personal health challenges. After overcoming chronic gut issues, surgical intervention & later a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis, she has been living drug-free with Multiple Sclerosis for 25 years. regained full health & vitality by following her method.

For more than 25 years, Dr. Meredith has extensively researched & used Chinese herbal medicines & nutritional supplements to address the wide range of signs & symptoms arising from her neurological condition, Multiple Sclerosis. She has also explored food as medicine, gaining deep insight into how types of food directly impact on the body. She has been her own test case for 25 years - an experience that has guided her clinical practice, shaped the development of the Neurobiome Method™ & supported her own health to reach where it is today & the health of many others.

Dr. Meredith learnt that modern living has changed how our bodies function substantially, making us more vulnerable to modern diseases like autoimmunity. Seeking answers, she combined Chinese Medicine & Functional Medicine—the East & West, the old & new, wisdom & science—creating the Neurobiome Method™, a unique approach to healing the body.

Her illness has become her greatest teacher - revealing what it truly takes to heal the body, prevent disease & cultivate vibrant health so one can live life to the fullest.

Dr. Meredith’s Masters research in Applied Science (Laboratory Pharmacology) was the first to show how Australian-grown herb Danshen, Salvia miltiorrhiza, protects nitric oxide (NO). NO is an emerging field of science that has demonstrated its impact on the brain & cognitive health  — a key molecule for blood vessel health.  It is a crucial molecule for increasing brain cognition, playing a vital role in decision making, memory, learning & overall brain health and performance.

Her Masters research was completed under Professor Chun Guang Li who is internationally recognised for his work in Pharmacology & Complementary Medicine, and the pharmaceutical science of nitric oxide.

Dr. Meredith brings both scientific expertise and personal experience to the emerging field of the gut–brain connection.

Neurobiome™ Consultancy is delivered with passion & dedication to achieve outstanding results for clients.
